At GES, we take immense pride in our “homegrown” leaders, individuals who have progressed from entry-level positions to pivotal roles within our organization. Take for example Vince’s journey.  He began at GES as an entry-level materials technician and now, just 5 years later, supervises new entry- level staff.  Similarly, Ryan, who joined GES over 21 years ago as an entry-level employee, has been our field supervisor for more than half his tenure. These stories of growth and success are  prevalent across all departments—administrative, environmental, field operations, and engineering.

Our commitment to fostering leadership from within has significantly contributed to the growth and development of our industry. Through our comprehensive 360 Leadership Academy, we focus on developing the next generation of leaders with an immersive personal and professional development experience.  Created specifically for GES, this program embodies our holistic approach to leadership, aiming to create individuals who excel in their roles and possess the skills needed to thrive in today’s dynamic workplace.

The 360 Leadership Academy offers a curriculum that transcends traditional classroom teachings. It integrates real-world applications and experiential learning opportunities to enhance critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills. We emphasize leadership as a mindset and a set of skills that can be applied in various contexts, rather than merely a title or position.

Our core values of Respect, Courage, Humility, Honesty, and Safety are central to our program. By fostering a culture of leadership and accountability, the 360 Leadership Academy at GES and Eagle aims to create a nurturing environment where students feel empowered to explore their passions and contribute meaningfully to their jobs, families, and communities.

In addition to our leadership program for our existing staff, GES continues to support growth through our Entry-Level Program, established in 2005, and our Deep Dig internship program for college students pursuing engineering, geology, environmental, and science degrees. These initiatives reflect our commitment to developing talent and ensuring the continued success and innovation of our industry.
