As GES continues to expand as a regional firm—bolstered by the successful launch of our St. George office and the ongoing development of our Tri-State region—our focus remains on strategic growth. We are committed to expanding both our footprint and capabilities while ensuring that our services and processes align with the needs of our clients. This approach not only benefits GES and our clients, but also enhances the communities we serve through the projects we undertake together.
The expansion of services includes our laboratory testing. We are evaluating the most requested tests along with the processes and equipment required to obtain those certifications. Striving to provide these services within our own walls enables our team to be much more responsive to our clients’ needs and removes coordinating with the schedules of our subcontractors. The process is already underway for our St. George lab to acquire the necessary AASHTO accreditation, curtailing the time needed to complete materials testing.
The GES environmental program has also acquired the necessary certifications and licenses to be able to provide environmental services in Utah. This month we finalized accreditation to perform lead-based paint and asbestos surveys, and remediation supervision. With multiple certified environmental managers now able to extend their knowledge and experience to Utah, the beehive state can enjoy all the services GES has to offer.
Of course, growth and expansion must also include our sister company, Eagle Drilling Services. Eagle has recently added another licensed driller. This enables our drilling teams to service more clients every day and utilize all five drill rigs efficiently. Already able to service all of Nevada and portions of Arizona and Utah, we have begun exploring ways to increase Eagle’s geographic footprint within the entire region.
Clients also play a key role in our expansion. Recent satisfaction surveys indicate our clients are quite satisfied with the services they receive from GES. We “WOW” our clients regularly and receive high marks at a rate much greater than average. The responsibility is on our shoulders to educate and remind our clients of the services our firm has to offer. With that knowledge our clients can turn to GES more often, knowing they have a trusted partner throughout the design and construction processes.
At GES we aren’t waiting for the stars to align for our expansion to happen. We are actively carving the steps towards our mission of being a premier firm in the west where the best people in our profession want to work. We are expanding our horizons… and yours.
