At GES it’s our custom to be among the first to show appreciation to our clients and staff for a great year. Traditionally this is centered around Thanksgiving. This year we have had a lot to be thankful for.

A little over a year ago we opened our first office outside of Nevada. We found a great location, equipped the office and lab, and hired our first employee in Utah. Thankfully, we have been received by the construction and engineering communities as if we were old friends. Our southern Utah staff is growing rapidly as we continue to prove ourselves to be both responsive and thorough for our clients.

We have worked on some significant projects this year. The long list includes important roadway and infrastructure work in northern and southern Nevada, a new hotel in southern Utah, and two high rises in Henderson.

GES strengthened its leadership structure by filling key positions. The Lab Builder and Field Builder. These roles, along with supervising staff, are responsible for ensuring that all four GES offices operate in alignment with the company’s established processes and procedures while effectively and efficiently sharing resources across locations. In addition, GES promoted one of its engineers to serve as the Northern Nevada Engineering Lead for the Reno office, providing technical leadership and supporting continued growth and consistency in engineering quality across the region. GES was fortunate to be able to fill all of these positions by promoting from within the GES staff.

GES’ sister company Eagle Drilling Services expanded its operations in Nevada with the addition of a new office and yard, giving the company a strong presence in both the northern and southern regions of the state. This strategic growth allows Eagle to service projects more efficiently, providing faster response times and more cost-effective mobilizations. The new Reno/Carson yard opened with some well-deserved fanfare, highlighted by a Drilling Academy event that showcased Eagle’s capabilities to engineers, environmental specialists, construction managers, and other industry professionals. The response has been overwhelmingly positive with local teams excited to have a reliable, experienced drilling partner close to home, and the phones are ringing more than ever!

Once again, GES was officially recognized as a “Best Firm to Work for” by the Zweig Group. Many hundreds of architecture and engineering firms across the country apply for the award, yet GES is one of only two Nevada firms to be selected.

GES has much to be thankful for in 2025 and we are particularly thankful to our clients and staff for helping GE

S work towards our Vision to “Be a premier professional organization in the western United States where the best people in our profession want to work….”

As 2025 comes to a close, we look forward to a rewarding 2026.
