For 32 years Geotechnical & Environmental Services has put our clients first.  We have strived to take the extra steps necessary to make our clients more successful.  This mission led to the opening of our second office in Mesquite nearly two decades ago, and our third office in Reno just four years ago.  Each expansion has been a strategic move to help meet the needs of our existing clients, while serving new clients within the region.  Expansion has included hiring local talent while infusing the GES culture into the new office. A culture that includes not only doing great work in these cities, but a commitment to the communities in which we work.

This month GES opened an office in St. George, Utah, GES’s first office outside of Nevada.  While the company, including GES President Greg DeSart, is excited about the expansion, we have plans to ensure the GES way of doing business is preserved.

Our St. George office will serve what we call the Tristate region of southern Utah, northwest Arizona and southeast Nevada. Our clients will be served by people who work and live in the region; people who have personal reasons for the success of a project.

This includes Ben Mayhew who grew up in St. George, graduating from Pineview High School when roughly thirty thousand people lived in the community. However, just like our other offices, the Tristate region will be supported by the entire team of GES professionals in all four offices.

What does this mean for our existing clients?
While our firm is growing, we are not a nationwide conglomerate. We are small enough to remain agile and responsive to our clients’ needs, and large enough to meet their expectations. We continue to attract some of the best talent in our industry. However, now we will attract even more talent to help tackle some of the challenges our clients face in northern Nevada, southern Nevada, and the Tristate region. Working with GES will remain business as usual. We will continue to look for opportunities to make our clients more successful by recognizing obstacles and overcoming them.

If you have offices or projects in the Tristate region, please let us know. We will offer the same level of service and support you have learned to depend upon from our other offices.

You may notice our website has changed to ges-west.com. Don’t worry. GESnevada.com still works fine, and all of our GESnevada.com email addresses are fully functioning.

For our new clients…

GES has decades of experience in geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, and materials testing & special inspections.  We are highly ranked in the communities we serve. Many of our clients have been with us since the early nineties when we began, which is a testament to the work we provide and our loyal staff.  We have worked and continue to work on projects big and small. We work on infrastructure and public works projects, but also commercial and residential developments.  Our staff already have a rich history of success working in Utah and Arizona, and we will make every effort to show our new clients that same success.

GES is already actively involved in Utah trade groups, in the business community, and at local events. We believe in being active neighbors and want our community to grow and prosper.

We never take our clients for granted. We work tirelessly to attract the professionals you want on your projects. Our goal is not only to build great things but also to contribute to the success of our clients.
